Results are out.I will move on to 4th yr. Feel equally exciting and anxious. Sometimes, one's hard work does not necessarily reciprocate the desired results. It depends on fate, the balloting for proj, ur supervisor, the topic of proj and the profs who mark ur thesis. Hope everything goes well for my last yr of studies.
What is on my mind now?
3rd day of lab and something BIG happened in the lab. My supervisor asked a lab officer to assist me in my proj. I hav to synthesize a compound. Throughout the experiment, the lab officer was doing herself, with me behind her. But i found tat there is reali something wrong with the setup of the apparatus. I told her abt it but she ignored me. Also, one of the compounds reacts violently with water, but the condenser used had water dripping as the temperature was too cold. The setup was such tat it was enclosed.
Exam's over!!!today's my last paper n the most difficult of all...i was struggling with the graphs till the last minute..sweat..n when i came out of the exam hall i realized i calculated the formula for the compound correctly but wrote it down wrongly. My God!! Lalala...its over anyway.
Went for early morning 2am movie (The Da Vinci Code) wif my sis and bro at orchard cineleisure today. Today is also the first day of great singapore sale. Singaporeans are reali crazy, the shops are so packed with ppl for late nite shopping. Its also nice to get a view of orchard in the early morning. But i was so tired tat i kept 'swinging' my head in the mrt when we were heading back home..haha..
Work is reali tiring. I either had nothing to do in the lab or i am so busy tat i had to work ot. Working env is so much diff from studying. Studying is at ur own pace while u hav to keep to the deadline ur boss set on u. Somemore, ppl tend to make use of u if u r too easily bullied. I had nothing to do in the lab so i offered help to the aunties in lab. One aunty told me to blend samples, so i helped her. But she is so picky, keep asking me to blend more finely. When i proceed onto other work, she asked me to blend more samples. Cant she tell me at one go which are the samples to blend? rather than one by one!! I had to reject her, n she gave me an unsatisfied look. I will offer no more help to her.

4) But i cannot sleep too early, coz i wan to watch superband and Da Chang Jing
5) Why cant i solve the sudoku puzzle?(I spent the whole afternoon in the lab cracking my head)
6) I wan an MP3 player, so i will not be bored to death in mrt.
7) Where will they go for lunch tmr?*Yummy*
8) Why my legs so hairy..?*i saw a gal today in mrt with reali smooth legs*
9) i need a new pair of shoes before i slip n fall...
10) i need to cut my reali long hair
11) i forgot to pay my handphone bill again, though i pass by the machine everyday. y cant i rmb!

Without even starting the reaction by adding 1 cpd to the other one, an "explosion" happened. The apparatus shot out and crashed on the floor, the toxic cpd spilled on the ground. All the lab officers evacuated out of the lab as if the whole lab was crashing down. It was reali a big matter to them but not to me lo. But i still got called to the office by my supervisor and head to department. All of us were confused as to y the apparatus gave way without any reaction yet. 1st we tot of presence of water then i realized its due to setup of apparatus wrongly. Pressure builtup happened in the enclosed system.
I dunno tat the lab officer had no chemistry background lo. So i tot she knew how to carry out the experiment. Also, i got told her the setup was funny but she nvr heeded my advice. Hai, i oso dun dare to say tat the system was set up by the lab officer, since she is more experienced.
My proj was stopped as it was dangerous. Now i m rotting in lab. The lab officers there are nice and friendly. Their routine work is to do analysis on food for any toxicity. I got to ka-pok on any food alreadi tested and passed, like crackers and chocolate.

Tmr i will be going for my internship at HSA. Finally got it. I had to ask a professor to be my referee and write a supporting letter for me. The prof reali veri nice..although i dun reali noe him well, he wrote n sent the letter for me. So grateful. This holiday i will not rot at home le..haha..i will be doing something that i love very much. And most of all, i dun need to wear office wear but jeans n t-shirt..labcoat is my office attire. Save on my money..hee.
HSA is at outram...so gals maybe can meet u all up in the city after work.
Ya..jingying..sorry.. nvr attend ur bdae celebration last sat. At first its bcoz of my exam, then realize my sis treating my parents n us to dinner at Harbourfront..for mother's day. A wedding was gg on in the same restaurant n we somehow got to join in their celebrations...hoho..
My sis's best friend getting engaged nxt fri. She's only 3 yrs older than me.. so maybe 3 yrs later one of my frens will be getting married..wao..time flies lo.
My fren went to taiwan for her graduation trip. While i am stil studying, she is alreadi enjoying..so good lo.. Maybe i will go on a trip when i graduate. Anyone wans to join me??hee..
