Jiangnan trip 13th Dec to 21st Dec 2009.
My vacation overseas trip to China 1 year after my tip to Japan. This is my 2nd time to China. First time was about 8 years ago, on a JC school student exchange programme to Beijing. I remembered telling my friend in the airport before setting off to Shanghai that this will be the last time I will be going to China, as I really did not have a good impression of China..the people, the toilets.
But after this trip, my impression changed. I saw the change in China. I must say the hygiene in toilets is so much better. I still see people spitting on streets, but much lesser. The scenery can be as good as Japan, and you pay much lesser to see the same thing in China.
My china tour guides are superb. China put a lot of effort in tourism, only university graduates are allowed to be tour guides. Its a must for a local china tour guide to guide any overseas tour group.And on top of that, each cities will have a 地陪 tour guide, whose hometown is the city itself, as they are most suitable to explain to us their own hometown. Personally i find tat China's tourism policies are very effective.
I still miss my china tour guide, the one accompanied us the whole trip. 小赵。 He is so humourous. i remembered his 名言。。他说。。很多人来中国旅行都是。。上车睡觉，下车尿尿，景点拍照，回家莫名其妙。。haha. Quite true..
He will get so agitated when talking about Japanese invasion to China, and started revealing all his negative feelings about Japan. I must thank him for his interesting explanation of china history..that i am now also interested in knowing more.I am so impressed at their knowledge of china history, they can talk non-stop about it, remembering all the details.
